Health, beauty and cleaning home remedies : including everything and the kitchen sink!, 2002.

McArthur explores the existence of home remedies and the skepticism that so oftentimes accompanies their use. She then categorizes home remedies into three different types: health remedies, beauty remedies, and cleaning remedies. Her collection is drawn entirely from LDS women in Utah. McArthur discusses how the significance of home remedies does not come from their ease-of-use or effectiveness, but because they represent a tradition passed down for many generations. McArthur concludes by discussing the advantages of home remedies over commercialized products and medical procedures.
